A double dose of exciting news…

First, “Sniper’s Day” (Book Five in the Ro Delahanty Series) has made the Short List for best thriller novel of 2023 in the Chanticleer International Book Awards (CIBA) competition. There are just over 50 novels remaining out of the hundreds submitted.

The announcement notice from CIBA said, “Making it to our Short List means that our readers saw something they liked in your book, a character moment, a plot twist, or even great sentence structure. From this point, the competition heats up.”

The next level is for the Semi-Finalists, to be announced in the new year.

Second, “The Ro Delahanty Novels” has made the Long List for best general fiction series in the 2023 CIBA competition – I submitted “Ro’s Handle” (Book One); “Hear Evil” (Book Two); “Losses” (Book Three); and “Secrets Never End” (Book Four). There are just over three dozen on the list. The next level is the Short List, to be announced after the new year.

Finalists and grand prize winners will be announced at the CIBA Conference in Bellingham, Washington, next April.
