One of the fun things about author fairs – besides maybe selling a book or two and talking to readers or potential readers – is seeing The Usual Suspects of fellow authors who regularly participate. My nearby table mates at last Saturday’s author fair at the Coliseum Museum in Oregon, Illinois, were Amanda McNeil, who has a dystopian series of novels, and Bob Glaser, who wrote a history of a little-known effort to establish a utopian settlement in north central Illinois. And yes, we all sold some books.
