I appreciate the article because her outstanding accomplishment – she won the Super Bowl of sniper competitions by being dead on target from almost TWO miles out! – gave some credibility to an upcoming Ro Delahanty plot situation.

In my books I have made a big deal Ro is a championship shooter, although her competitions were with handguns and skeet targets.

In book five of the projected series, “Secrets Never End: Revelations” – it has been written but needs polishing; I’m hoping to publish it next summer – Ro has a dual with a former military sniper who’s gone off the deep end. In “Revelations,” the confrontation is told from Ro’s point of view.

However, the sniper’s fascinating back story would not leave me alone, and so has been written as a separate novella called “Sniper’s Day,” told entirely from HIS point of view. (An early version of “Sniper’s Day” was published here as a series of blog posts two years ago.)

The plan is to publish “Secrets Never End: Revelations” and “Sniper’s Day” simultaneously.
