Every fall, the neighborhood where I live holds a big outdoor block party sponsored by local businesses LaborSpace, a music and art cooperative, and Rozz-Tox, a popular coffee house and music venue.

There are lots of vendors, including food, craft beers, art, clothing and artisan booths, and live music.

This year’s will be Sunday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the corner of Third Avenue and Twenty-First Street in downtown Rock Island, Ill.

We will have a table with all three of the Ro Delahanty books, including the just released “Losses,” available for purchase and signing by the author.
